AH and Park Renovations
Funded by Proposition 68 State Park grants and District Funds, a Phase 1 renovation of the park's Activity House (AH) began late-September 2023 and concluded mid-December 2023. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. This important work included a complete replacement of the AH roof and substantial amounts of decayed roof decking with a new, energy-efficient membrane roof with insulation. In addition new gutters and downspouts, and new exterior lighting were installed. Finally, the entire AH building exterior received a much needed new paint job.
Phase 2 AH improvements are underway. A new energy-efficient heat-pump HVAC system is nearing completion in March 2024, and window replacements should conclude by April 2024. Kitchen and other infrastructure renovations are in the planning stage.
Beyond the AH, the District also completed renovation of the park stage in December 2023, and has now completed a re roof and gutter system on the park's gazebo. The latter work was largely funded by a generous volunteer.
The District Board hopes that these improvements will keep our Community Park the asset has been for over 30 years. Thank you for your support.
